Juanita Rushing, age 86, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Juanita entered this life on March 13, 1926 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee, daughter to the late William T. Bruce and Bertha Hams Bruce. Juanita retired from a career as a Dental Assistant and was a faithful member of First Christian Church for over 70 years. She enjoyed writing poetry, making scrap books, shopping, and eating out.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Rushing and her daughter, Connie Lieding. She leaves behind her two loving granddaughters, Mary E. Burrell of Charleston, SC and Susan Marrs of Waxhaw, NC; two great grandchildren, Anna and Joshua Marlow of NC; children by marriage, Louis Rushing and wife Janet of Clarksville and Joann Ellis of Erin; five grandchildren by marriage; seven great grandchildren by marriage; and six great-great grandchildren by marriage.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
