Juanita Jones

Juanita Jones, age 74, went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 3, 2024 while at her home in Clarksville.

For well over two decades, Juanita worked for Healthy Start of Tennessee, where her compassion and commitment to improving the lives of others shone brightly. Her career was marked by her relentless advocacy for families and children, efforts that left an indelible impact on the community she served. She was respected not only for her professional dedication but also for her warm and caring nature. With Healthy Start, Juanita, for a brief time, worked in the nursing and addition counseling areas of treatment before moving to a position as a social worker where she spent the majority of her career.

Juanita found joy and purpose in her spiritual life as well, nurturing her faith through worship and fellowship at Faith Outreach Church in Clarksville. She participated actively in church activities and treasured her time spent in the warm embrace of her congregation. In addition to her faith, she had a profound love for the arts, as she formed and joyfully engaged in a Mexican folklore dance group, celebrating her heritage and sharing her cultural pride with others.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos Llanes Pena and Felipa Martinez Ramirez, her son, Nathan Jones, and a brother, Marcos. She leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, Rev. Dr. Arthur W. Jones, Jr. CSM (Ret); her children, Victor Rocha (Carol) and Carlo Rocha (Rachel), Elizabeth Rocha, and Michelle Weaks; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Giani, Yariel, Jovan, Olivia, Sanaa, and Jeremiah all who mourn her passing yet celebrate the vibrant life she led. Juanita's legacy of kindness, generosity, and lasting strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be held at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville on September 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on September 14 at Faith Outreach Church beginning at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at Faith Outreach Church (731 Windermere Dr. Clarksville, TN) at 10:00 AM with the burial following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Pastor William Luffman will officiate.

As we remember Juanita Jones, let us honor her commitment to others, her love for her family, and her steadfast faith in God. She went to be with her Lord Jesus, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion. It is suggested memorial donations be made to Faith Outreach Church in Juanita's memory.
