Thelma Juanita Bearden, age 85, departed this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Gum Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. David Mackens and Stephen Ramsey officiating. Juanita will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and 12 noon until the hour of service Saturday at Gum Springs Baptist Church.
Juanita entered into this life on July 9, 1932 in Montgomery County, daughter to the late Ernie Douglas Biter and Julia Maybelle Hodges Biter. She was retired from the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. School System where she enjoyed serving as a cafeteria worker. In her spare time, Juanita loved sewing and crocheting and in her younger years enjoyed gardening. Most of all, she loved her family. She was a devoted wife of over 63 years to her beloved husband, Bobby Bearden and a loving mother and homemaker to her children. Juanita was a lifelong member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Stephen Bearden, Linda Edwards and husband Richard, and Donna Van Daele and husband Richard; and brother, James Biter. She was the loving grandmother of Amanda Cooper, Angela Curtis, Robert Edwards, Ryan Bearden, Benjamin Bearden, and Jonathan Bearden and great grandmother to Madison Edwards, Jillian Cooper, Robbie Edwards, Lacey Bearden, Colton Curtis, and Alison Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Pat Biter, Chris Bearden, Ryan Bearden, Benjamin Bearden, Jonathan Bearden, and Robert Edwards.
