J.Roy Pulley, 75, of Woodlawn, TN, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
J.Roy was born January 29, 1937 in Cumberland City, TN, son of the late Roman and Lillian Sanford Pulley. He was a Tow Boat Captain and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Michael and Patsy Ann Pulley of Hickory, KY and Janice Elaine and Michael Vancura of Symsonia, KY, mother of his children, Sarah Alice Dye Pulley, sister, Helen Gower, grandson, Anthony Vancura, and great granddaughter, Anna Vancura.
Pallbearers will be Danny Byrson, Doug Gray, Harley Hall, Hugh Sexton, David Henley, Chris Carman, and Anthony Vancura.
