Joyce Coughlin

Joyce Lee Coughlin, age 86, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at her home.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Sondra Peters officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Joyce entered this life on July 24, 1937, in Dyersburg, TN to the late Aaron and Lorene Fortner Griffin. She obtained her associate’s degree and served as a dedicated paralegal for the Attorney General’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and traveling. Joyce was an advocate for the elderly community and loved spending time at the senior citizen center. She attended Grace Fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Coughlin; children, Gary Bell, David Bell, Steven Bell, and Carla Joy Bell; granddaughter, Elizabeth, and sister, Shirley.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Bell; grandchildren, Juanita Dufour, Harold (Monica) Dufour, David Bell, and Aaron (Ashley) Bell; great-grandchildren, Amber Dufour, Conner Dufour, Christopher Dufour, Adyline DeLong, and Evelyn Dufour; children by marriage, all of Massachusetts, Katie, Bridgette, Dan, Patrick, Chris, and Joseph.
