Joshua “Dirk” Higgs, 21 of Clarksville, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was an Active Duty Member of the United States Army, where he served one tour in Afghanistan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Higgs.
He is survived by his loving wife and unborn child, Gilda Olvera Resendiz of Clarksville, TN.; mother, Isobel Higgs of Cumming, GA; brother, Peter Higgs of Cumming, GA; sister, Heather Higgs of Cumming, GA; grandfather, Neil Connell McInnes, Sr. of Decatur, GA; aunt, Margaret McInnes of Cumming, GA; and several other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald & Son Chapel, Cumming, GA. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Cemetery, Snellville, GA. with full military honors.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
