Joseph Warren Wallace, 84, Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Barney Baggott officiating. Burial will be in Woffords Cemetery, Stewart County. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Wallace was born April 2, 1927 in Stewart County, TN and was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher Columbus and Vesta Lou Morris Wallace; brothers, Morris Wallace, JC Wallace; sisters, Verda Mae Atkins, Ileen Russell and Marie Steel. He was retired from the automotive business, formerly of Brandon Groves; a U.S. Navy Veteran served on USS Kittson and USS Princeton during WWII; and a member of Park Lane Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Leona Mae Kennerley Wallace; daughters, Freda Joy Ficklin, Clarksville, Cynthia Jo (Jerry) Shelton, Woodlawn, Becky Renee (Mark) Crawford, Clarksvill, Cheryl Denise (Avery) Fuqua, Mt. Juliet; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ficklin, Jason Ficklin, Eric Crawford, Paul Kahle, Jay Chantler, Micah Wallace, Seth Fuqua and Kyle Noyed.
