Joseph Robert (Bob) Schmittou

Joseph Franklin Robert ( Bob) Schmittou went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday August 3, 2013 at Signature Healthcare. He was born March 12, 1929 son of the late Outlaw S. Schmittou and Sallie Maloy Schmittou. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Louysa (Lou) Brown Schmittou, father Outlaw Schmittou, mother Sallie Maloy Hudson Schmittou Ferrell, step father Leslie Ferrell. He was a member of Erin Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Song leader, served as County Equalization Board. A celebration of the life will be 11am Tuesday at Erin Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Spurgeon and Rev. Truitt Cockrell officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30pm until 8pm Monday at Nave Funeral Home and from 8am until service time Tuesday at the the Church. Burial will be at Hudson Cemetery. Survivors include his daughter Susan Baxter (Perry) of Tn. Ridge, Tn. three grandchildren Joe McGinnis, Wendy Smith, Rebecca Rogers, and three great grandchildren Kari Smith, Shelby Smith, and Dallas Smith, one brother Benzel Ferrell , one sister Virginia McCarty. Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, Sam Fussell, Dan Martin, Kerry Powell, G. E. Clark, Joel Nolen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ernest (Tettle) Harris, George Nunn, Webb Mitchum, James Wood and Steve James. In lieu donations can be made to Hudson Cemetery Fund.
