Joseph Donald Martin, Jr., age 73, of Woodlawn, passed away at Centennial Medical Center on Thursday, May 11, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born on January 18, 1944 in Hollywood, California to the late Joseph Donald Martin, Sr. and Grace Manda Eide Martin. Joseph was full of life and enjoyed living life to it’s fullest. In his youth he received a Master’s degree in Accounting and his CPA certification. He used this to work as a Corporate Accountant and enjoyed his career traveling all over the world setting up accounts for large corporations. Joseph was the epitome of masculinity. In his youth he was an Olympic power lifter, and continued, throughout his life to enjoy hunting, traveling, and fishing in bass tournaments. He will always be remembered for being a great story-teller, his watching of NCIS marathons, and his optimistic attitude. He was always positive, and remained that way throughout his battle with cancer. Joseph truly lived a wonderful, great, and full life.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Pat Martin of Woodlawn; daughter, Michelle Green; and grandchild Denahi Green; his children by marriage; Michael McElveen and Sheena Pribble; grandchildren by marriage; Fatima McElveen, Anthony McElveen, and Wacey Pribble; and great grandchild by marriage, Liam McElveen.
Joseph’s wishes were to be cremated. No services are currently planned. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
