Joseph Litz

Joseph Charles Litz, 70, Clarksville, died Monday, August 11, 2008, in Grayson County, KY. The funeral will be held at 12 noon Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Steve Kirby and Tom Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. He was born August 17, 1937 in Croydon, PA and was preceded in death by his parents, Al Litz and Margaret Press Litz; grandson, Joey McElroy. Mr. Litz was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ, a retired SFC in the U.S. Army, a decorated Vietnam Veteran and jumpmaster with the 187th Paratroopers and a small business owner. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Howell Litz, Clarksville; daughters, Cynthia (Rodney) Leetham, Tina McElroy, Clarksville, Teresa (Gary) Haley, Eagleville, TN, Pam (Clint) Schweitzer, Clarksville; brothers, Al Litz, Fritz Litz, Charles Litz, Jimmy Litz, Tommy Litz; sisters, Kathleen Boelle, Geraldine Grille, Bernadette Calvin, Margaret Ann Bracy; grandchildren, Stephen (Anitra) Winn, Jason Winn, Garrett Winn, Shelby Schweitzer, Amanda Schweitzer, Brooke Schweitzer, Gary Haley Jr., Sarah Leetham; great-grandchildren, Braylin and Ethan Winn.
