Joseph Richard Lee (Joe), a Retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, passed away on March 16, 2024, in Clarksville, TN. Born on November 1, 1929, in Chicago, IL, Joseph was a beloved father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
Celebration of Life will be 12 noon, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with United States Air Force Honors.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7p,m, Friday, March 22, 2024 and again at 10 a.m., Saturday March 23, 2024, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Throughout his life, Joseph exemplified love and kindness in every aspect. His dedication to his country was evident through his honorable service of over 22 years in the United States Air Force. Joseph's commitment to duty and his fellow servicemen left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Outside of his military career, Joseph found solace in spending quality time with his family. He cherished these moments dearly and leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness that will be remembered for generations to come.
In remembrance of Joseph, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife Susan Ann Smith Lambert Lee, twin sons Larry and Gary Lee, daughter Jeri Ann Lee, and brother Bobby Lee. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Joseph is survived by his son Jimmy Lee and wife Charlotte, daughter Julie Lee and companion, Bill Woods, daughter Anne Saunders and husband Johnnie. He is also survived by his brother Mickey Leeand wife Dorothy,sister n law Janice Lee, children by marriage Jeremiah D. Lambert and wife Amy, Melinda Sue Bender, Lisa D. Young and husband Rob, Donna G. White, Annette Cottrell and husband Terry, Crystal D. McGee and husband RJ. Additionally, Joseph leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who will always carry forward his spirit of love and compassion.
Joseph Richard Lee's life serves as a testament to the values of honor, family, and service. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a significant impact on all those around him.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
