Jon Fye

Jon Alan Fye, age 76, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ronny Raines and Rev. Pat VanDyke officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and again on Friday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the church.

Jon will be laid to rest at Cresthaven Memory Gardens, in Bedford, Indiana.

Jon entered this life on September 7, 1947 in Seymour, IN to the late Robert and Ruth Montgomery Fye. He was a graduate of Bedford High School, attended Vincennes College for two years, Franklin college for two years, and received his Master’s Degree from Luther Rice Seminary. Jon spent two years in the Peace Corp from 1969 to 1971. He then joined The United States Army, which he honorably served in from 1971 until his retirement in 1991. He went on to serve as a federal employee for BACH for over twenty years. During that time, he served as a Deacon at Little West Fork Baptist Church and was a Boy Scout Leader. Most recently, Jon was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville where he took part in Ray Stone’s Sunday School Class.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Fye.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Davis Fye; son, Shawn Fye, and his wife, Michelle; daughter,  Stacy Haag, and her husband, Christopher; granddaughters, Emma and Ella Fye, and siblings, Don (Kathy) Fye, of Florida and Bonnie Fye, of Indiana.
