Johnny Clifton Harp, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Tennova Health Care.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Johnny entered into this life on January 21, 1932 in Montgomery County to the late Jeffie Harp, Sr. and Maggie Rittenberry Harp. He was retired from a career as a mechanic and was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, William H. Harp, Jeffie R. Harp, Jr., Susie Carrigan, Lucille Daniel, and Gertrude Hembree.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Wilkins Harp; daughters and their spouses, Elizabeth Jensen (Jeff) and Rita Willoughby (Willie); siblings, Jean Harp, Maxine Duke (Billy), Nettie Lightner (Rudy), and Gracie Miller. He was the loving grandfather to grandchildren Jeremy Jensen (Heather), Stephanie Blessing (Daniel), Jerred Willoughby (Julie), and Clint Willoughby and great grandchildren, Evan Willoughby, Laney Blessing, Brantly Blessing, and Jaxson Jensen.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
