John (Fat Boy) Wilkinson, 58, Clarksville, died Monday, August 24, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson with Rev. Bob Mitchell & Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the fuenral home. He was born January 6, 1951, in Montgomery County was the son of the late James E. Wilkinson Sr. and Marteel Atkins Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson was a heavy equipment operator with Tipton Construction and a Baptist. Survivors include his brother, James E. (Elaine Purvis) Wilkinson Jr., Clarksville; sister, Teresa (George) Parhas, Clarksville; step-children, Travis Imbush, Sarah Mead, Tennessee Ridge; nieces, Marti (Robby) Wilkinson-Croley, Jennifer (Bill) Vautour, Aubrey (Matt) Bryant, Heather Parhas; nephews, Louie (Jana) Wilkinson, Eric Wooten, James Austin, Evan Parhas, Basil Parhas; great-nieces and nephews, Ashlee, Tyler, Ryan, Payton, Maddie, Lauren, Ashtyn and Riley; two step-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Bolin, Dale Dunn, Scott Irwin, Richard Tipton, Randy Wallace, Louie Wilkinson, Wayne Wilkinson, Eric Wooten. Honorary pallbearers will be Fentress Bryant, Dean Patterson, Jerry Rawlins, Pete Shearon, Kenneth Watts and Bruce Williams.
