John Arthur Richardson

 John Arthur Richardson, age 77 of Vanleer, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Horizon Medical Center. 

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Darnell officiating. Burial will follow in Nesbitt Cemetery. 

 Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday afternoon at the funeral home 

 John entered this life on August 7, 1947 in Winchester, TN, son to the late John and Jean Richardson. John faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Conflict where he served in the Big Red 1 1st Infantry Division. Following his military service, John worked as a sheet metal worker for Local Union 177, a career that was very fulfilling. John loved his God, his family, being outdoors and enjoying nature, but his true passion was his family; he will be greatly missed. 

 In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Faye Liaghat. 

 Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Richardson; children, Cindy (Paul) Davenport, Keith (Shelby) Richardson; grandchildren, Kaci Hall, Drew Hall, Brooke Davenport, Ethan Davenport, Nathan Richardson; along with numerous nieces, aunts and uncles. 

 Family and friend will serve as pallbearers.
