John Newman

John Thomas Newman, age 80 of Woodlawn, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Wilee’s Chapel Cemetery.
John entered this life on February 9, 1942 in Houston County, TN to the late Jack and Joanna Shelton Newman. He was a Christian man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all…spending time with his family. John was employed for Trane Company, where he was a dedicated employee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Green, and brothers, Jack Odell Newman, Billy Joe Newman, and Lloyd Newman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Glenda Harrison Newman; sons, John Timothy Newman, and Dean Thomas Newman; daughter, Tonya Newman; sisters, Mattie Ann Sykes, and Elizabeth Harris; son-in-law, Earl Green; twelve grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Earl Green, Samuel Green, Steven Buehler, Dalton Robins, Steve Harrison, and Larry Harrison.
