John Columbus McBryant

First Sergeant (Ret) John Columbus McBryant “Main Man”, 86 of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. 

Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Scott, Dr. Larry Robertson, and Michael McDaniel officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. 

The McBryant family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home. 

John was born in Macon, GA on March 1, 1938; son of the late Ollie and Doris Smith McBryant. He joined the US Army in 1957 and honorably retired after serving his Country for 22 years. After his Army career, John worked and retired from ATS Phone Company. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church and worked in the maintenance department as well. John enjoyed wood working and had a creative mind for building things. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Danny W. McBryant and brother, Donnie McBryant. 

Left to cherish is his loving wife of 64 years, Norma Frances McBryant; children, John McBryant Jr., David (Jodi) Mcbryant, Jason McBryant, and Shanna (Frank) Robich; grandchildren Kalie McBryant, Alex (Steven) Smith, Jayden McBryant, Camren McBryant, Zayne McBryant, Olivia Jackson, and William King; great grandchildren, Blake and Brody Smith, Skyla Jo Robich, Tippi McBryant and Jamison and June Jackson; brother, Milton (Donna) McBryant and daughter-in-law Beth McBryant.
