John Michael Gilbert

John Michael Gilbert, age 70 formerly of Erin, TN, passed away peacefully Monday, February 10, 2025 at his residence. 

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Bradley officiating. 

 The Gilbert family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

 John entered this life on October 3, 1954 in Detroit, MI son to the late John LaVerne Gilbert and Elizabeth Launius Gilbert. John worked for many years alongside his father as a talented carpenter in the construction business. His life-long passion, however, was playing instruments and making music. 

 Survivors include his loving son, Brian Gilbert (Meghan); beloved former wife, Pilar Gilbert;  sister, Marsha Brooks(Edward);  nieces, Amanda Mobley (Danny), Darcey Manners (Kevin); and nephew, Edward Brooks 11 “Bubs” (Lisa). He also leaves behind many beloved great-nieces, and great-nephews.
