John Denovan

John (Scotty) Denovan, 77, Woodlawn, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Wilee's Chapel Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born January 11, 1931 in Bridgeport, CT and was the son of the late James and Daisy Kidd Denovan. Mr. Denovan retired from the Town of Stratford, CT and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his son, Robert Shepherd, Woodlawn; daughter, Carol Y. Sheridan, Stratford, CT; sister, Mildred Traverse, Greenwood, SC; companion, Cleo Carpenter, Woodlawn; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
