John Connell Austin, age 83 of Adams, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sango with Bro. Shaun Tagatauli officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the church.
John was born on August 17, 1931 in Robertson County, the son of John Henry Austin Jr. and Lizzie Lee Blick Austin. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a retired supervisor at Vulcan.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Josephine Allen Ford Austin; sons, Connell (Liz) Austin, Bobby (Becky) Austin, Ronnie (Candy) Austin, and Gary (Marla) Austin. 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Connell Austin, Bobby Austin, Ronnie Austin, Gary Austin, Patrick Moore, and Joshua Head.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Jessup and Steve Ford.
