Joan Fussell

Mrs. Joan Russell Fussell, age 81 of Erin, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 06, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at Erin Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Moody and Bro. Carol Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The Fussell family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon at the church.
Joan entered this life on March 5, 1935 in Cumberland City, TN, daughter to the late W.D. and Elna Wallace Russell. Joan was a faithful member of Erin Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She served as the Tennessee State Farm Bureau Women’s Chairman for 15 years and was a lifelong resident of Houston County, TN.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Russell, and sister, Nancy Carter.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Jamie Fussell; son, Jim Fussell (Kristy); daughters, Sherry Nolen (Joel), Beverly Malone (Bud); brothers, Bill Russell, Carter Russell, Bob Russell; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Nolen, Wesley Nolen, Mason Nolen, Blake Nolen, Jacob Malone, John Fussell, Grant Fussell, Caleb Fussell, and Samuel Fussell.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or Ag in the Classroom.
