Jimmy "J.C."Carpenter, 62, Clarksville, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Chad Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. A masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. J.C. was born June 8, 1948 in Montgomery County, TN and was the son of the late, Earl and Mary Oldham Davis. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School. As an entrepeneur he owned local automotive businesses which led to eight years of The Riverside Auto Expo Car Shows. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #761. J.C. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carol Elaine Skelton Carpenter; son, Jason Carpenter; daughter, Jade (Bobby) Knight, Clarksville, all of Clarksville; beloved granddaughter, JanDell Amundson, faithful pup, Chase Carpenter; siblings, sister, Carol (Bobby) Bryant; brothers, Anthony (Misty) Davis, Chris Davis, Clarksville, Ricky Gibson, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Chad Bryant (nephew), Zachary Davis (nephew), Mark Knight, Jesse Knight, Tracy Taylor, Greg Chester and Tracy Taylor Jr.
