Jimmy Brake

Jimmy Dale Brake, age 62 of Cumberland City, TN, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Cathy officiating. Burial will follow in Brakeview Cemetery.

The Brake family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.

Jimmy entered this life on January 10, 1960 in Erin, TN, son to the late Clyde Brake Jr. and Susie Lee Spicer. Jimmy was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish. Most of all he loved his family; he will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Rabon Brake.

Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Maria Samuelson Brake; children, Jessica Faith (David) Stark, Jimmi Sorrells, Cary Sorrells, Ashley (Daniel) Schuster; and brother, Joey Brake. Jimmy also leaves behind his precious grandchildren, Jace Daniel Stark, numerous other grandchildren, with one on the way, Isla Rosealina Stark.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Brooks, Freddy Brooks, Jerry Brooks, Jamie Brake, Brett Brake, Barry Cotton, JT Baggett, and Jeff Mathis.
