James “Jimmy” Elton Blackwell, age 75 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral home with Rev. Steve Louder officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday.
Jimmy was born on July 8, 1939 in Montgomery County, the son of Roy Edward Blackwell and Nellie Etha Clark Blackwell.
Jimmy was a Welding Tech at Trane Co and was a member of the Trane Bass Club, an avid outboard motor boat racer, and was past National High Point Champion of the National Outboard Association.
Jimmy was a loving husband for 57 years to his wife Betty Wallace Blackwell; daddy to Cheryl Mahoney and husband Scott; a papa to Brittney Gupton; and a brother to Beverly Byers.
