Jimmie David Thompson, Sr., age 71, of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Tennova Healthcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the chapel of McReynolds- Nave & Larson. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
The Thompson family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018, and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jimmie entered into this life on February 16, 1947 in Clarksville, TN to the late Dave and Edna Minton Thompson. He was a member of the Queen City Masonic Lodge #761, and enjoyed motor cycles, old westerns, and horses. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Ginette Thompson.
Survivors include his sons; Jay (Shannon), Jr., and Bailey Thompson; brothers, Hershel, and Anthony Thompson; sisters, LeeAnn Carter, and Linda (Kenny) Smith; grandchildren, Michael, Emily, and Bailey Thompson, and great-grandson, Wesley.
