James Clayton (Jim) Walker, 76, of Erin, went to be with his Lord on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
A native of Erin, he was the son of George Earl and Avis Clayton Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, G.T. Walker, and sister, Martha Nell Walker. He was a member of Tennessee Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lavell Potter Walker; sons, Kerry Walker and Bradley Walker of Erin; daughter Teresa Walker Stavely (Mike); grandchildren, Kodi Walker, Walker Stavely, and Kyle Porter (Caryn); great grandchild, Carson Roper; brother, John Walker (Cathy) of Chambersburg, PA; and sisters, Joann McGovern (Jim) of Bulverde, TX, Margaret Lewis (Terry) of Erin, Nanyce Torbett of Venia, VA, and Jeannie Lewis (Ronnie, deceased) of Clarksville.
Visitation will be at Nave Funeral Home on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 8 a.m. until the hour of service. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Bro. Ricky Duffell and Bro. Charles Potter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
