Jewel Halliday

Jewel Faye Halliday, age 87 of Woodlawn, TN passed away on June 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Needmore Church of Christ with Brother Johnny Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow at Needmore Church of Christ Cemetery in Indian Mound, TN.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the church.

Jewel was born in Montgomery Co. , TN on April 26, 1936; daughter of the late Felix and Maggie Watson Burkhart. She was a member of Needmore Church of Christ. She retired from Jostens Printing Publishing Co. after 14 years. Jewel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Bernice Schoonover, Marguerite Earhart,; brothers, Carl and Hugh Burkhart.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Gilbert Martin Halliday; son, Jerry Halliday (Sandra); daughters, Judy (Ronald) Burkhart and Barbara Wilson (Steve); grandchildren, Kerri Mosier (Scott), Christopher Burkhart (Constance), Trent Wilson(Maegan), Brad Wilson(Dalisa), Andrew Wilson; great grandchildren, Peter Burkhart,  Laura Burkhart, Shawn Burkhart, Mary Katherine “Kat” Mosier, Alex and Maddox Mosier, Everett and Avery Wilson.; great-great grandson; Bentley Clark.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Burkhart, Ronny Burkhart, Trent Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Brad Wilson, Scott Mosier, and Phillip Earhart.
