Jerry Dale King

Jerry Dale King, age 75 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.

Graveside services will be held 11: 00 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors, Brother Rick Chadwick will be officiating.

Jerry entered this life on July 4th, 1949 in Fort Worth Texas, son to the late James and Lena King. He was a beloved Dad, Papa and friend. He served his country in the United States Army for two years; serving in Germany. Jerry moved from Texas to Erin, TN, in 2018. He had a passion for music, writing songs, singing and playing the guitar was one of the highlights of his life. He also loved wood-working, and making bird houses for his friends and family. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda King; four daughters, Lisa Weeks and husband Les, Angie Greer and husband Keith, Teresa Wolfe and husband Michael, Amy Lester and husband Derrick; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Brandon McCready and wife Paige, Nathan Johnson, Abby King, Jacob Alsobrooks and Aiden Parker; great grandchildren, Hudson, Gunter & Deegan McCready; sister, Wanda Fowler and husband Robert, Jimmy King; brother-in-law Keith Richardson and countless nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his two brothers, Daniel and Lester King, and sister Carolyn Richardson.
