Jerry Buckner

Jerry Weems Buckner, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Lecrecia Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Louise United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jerry entered this life on August 31, 1951, in Clarksville, TN to the late Roy and Virginia Weems Buckner. He spent his life working in the auto body industry. He started his lifelong career at Joe Wall’s and later worked at Ed Groves Old’s Mobile Cadillac for 21 years. Jerry later worked and retired from Nashville Auto Diesel College, where he was an autobody technician instructor. Throughout his life, Jerry also enjoyed farming, raising cows and tobacco. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by many. Jerry loved fishing and his animals. He leaves behind his furry grand pets, Opie, Diesel, Bucky, and Dolly.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Brock Wyatt Blick, and brother, Phillip Buckner.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie Dawson Buckner; daughter, Jeri K. Blick; son, Terry (Amy) Buckner; grandchildren, Taylor and Dawson Buckner; sister, Jeanette (Gray) Yates, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Buckner, Ben Buckner, Sam Buckner, Mark Dawson, Steve Dawson, Patrick Harrison, Jeremy Greene, Jason Dawson, and Grady Yates.
