Jennifer Garrett Tapscott went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2022.
She was born on September 26, 1947 in Jackson, Tennessee. Her family home is Bemis, Tennessee, where she attended Bemis Elementary and J. B. Young schools, was a girl scout, and played basketball. She attended South Side High School (graduated 1965), also attended and graduated from West Tennessee Business College in 1966.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Richard Tapscott (married April 7, 1990) and her son, Jason Monroe Williams. Also, two half-brothers: Joseph L. Miller and James P. Miller; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jennifer is the daughter of Rufus Monroe Garrett (d: 15 April 1985, Bemis, TN) and Dorothy Juanita Carnell Miller (d: 11 April 2018, Clarksville, TN). Also, preceded in death by: Fraternal Grandparents: John D. Garrett and Ester (Hester) R. Garrett (Bemis, TN); and Maternal Grandparents: Florence P. Carnell and Joseph P. Carnell (Bemis/Jackson, TN).
There will be No Public and No Private Memorial Service – respecting the request of the deceased.
Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
