Jeannie Roper

Jeannie Lou Roper, age 75 of Stewart, TN, passed away January 1, 2023 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The Roper family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday afternoon.
Jeannie entered this life on April 15, 1947 in Johnson City, TN, daughter to the late Boyd and Elizabeth Grindstaff. Jeannie was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church for 40 plus years, and retired as Executive Director with the Erin Housing Authority. Jeannie had a passion for arts and crafts, but her true love was her family. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Jeanette Roper; and sister, Normanne Kilmon.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald “Ronnie” Roper; sons Kevin (Aliesha) Roper, Keith Roper; grandchildren, Sarah Roper, Emily (Clint) Manns, Jonathan (Lexie) Roper, Seth (Haley) Roper, Ansley Roper (Mayson Mills); step-grandchildren, Karmyn Cook (Trent Brooks) and Kingston Cook. Jeannie also leaves behind six great-grandchildren with two on the way.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
