Jeanette Chester Pressler, Clarksville, died Monday, January 17, 2011, at her home. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jeanette was born in Montgomery County, TN, daughter of William Dallas Chester and Ellie Ruth Mann Chester. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Douglas Pressler and brothers Douglas Chester, Tandy Chester, and Harold Chester. Jeanette and Howard were high school sweethearts and were married at Camp Carson, Colorado during the WWII era. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her sisters Sybil Thornton of Memphis and Susan Carpenter of Nashville, nieces Loretta Mickam of Bumpus Mills, Lisa Thornton of Carmel, CA, Kathy McCord of Clarksville, Julie Thornton of Memphis, Susan Tandy Simmons of Los Angeles, CA, Debbie Brock of Woodlawn, nephews Harold Brooks Chester of Clarksville and Louis White Thornton of Nashville, and several great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers will be Tyler Brock, Adam Davis, Jordan Hooker, Cage Hooker, Brian McCord, Steve Gray Harold Brooks Chester, and Louis White Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be E.M. Mann, Aaron Mann, M.L. Wooten, Danny Chester, Don Atkins, Mike Herings, Bailey Norfleet Jr., Dormon Vaughn, Bobby Welch, Gary Copeland, and Millard Chester.
