Jeanette Sue Benson

Jeanette Sue Benson, age 81 of Cunningham, TN, previously of Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at her home.

Private Family Services will take place at a later date.

Jeanette entered this life on June 29, 1943, in Galesburg, Illinois to the late Elmer and Doris Cooper Lawson. She spent her working years employed for the State of Georgia, before moving to the state of Tennessee. While in Georgia, she enjoyed attending activities at the Charles Judy Pong Senior Center. After coming to Tennessee, she attended Bethel Baptist Church. Jeanette had a passion for writing poetry, songs, and spending time with her family. She especially loved going to auctions and hugging anyone with whom she met.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Leonard Benson; daughter, Tina Marie Kramer; siblings, James Lawson, and Anna Marie Whitney.

Survivors include her children, Brad (Robbie) Benson, Bert Lonnie (Pamela Kay) Benson, Denise Irene (Jimmy) Wells, and Bobbie Lee Ireland; sister, Jan Crider; grandchildren, Maranda Lynn Thompson (Roger), Bradley Shawn Benson, and Garrett Taylor Benson. She also leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
