Jean Coleman

Lois Jean Coleman, age 83, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her home.

Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Bunger officiating.

Burial will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Adams, TN.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Jean entered this life on March 6, 1940, to the late Lois and Eula Oliver Dority. She retired from the Clarksville Montgomery County School system, where she worked as an account clerk. Jean was a member of Excell Baptist Church, where she taught adult Sunday School for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Coleman; siblings, Ophelia Seiffer, Nell Thompson, Carl Dority, and Thomas Dority.

Survivors include her son, Terry Coleman and his wife, Melinda; sister, Billie Ann Ayers; grandchildren, Joshua (Jenna)Adams, David (Katherine) Cary, and Izaak (Mallory) Cary, and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Coleman, Izaal Cary, David Cary, Phillip Deason, Joshua Adams, Patrick Martin, Christian Brown, Michael Massa.

Memorial donations may be made to Excell Baptist Church.
