Janie Lynn Stone

Janie Lynn Stone, age 67, of Madison, TN passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bishop Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Janie entered this life on June 26, 1957, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Alvin and Margaret Hogue Stone. She was lead administrative assistant at Vanderbilt University Medical.

Janie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She recently was serving as the secretary of The Relief Society Presidency and truly loved teaching and serving God's Children in the Primary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister in law, Peggy Stone.

Survivors include her sister, Wanda Russell and husband Jerry Russell; brother, Wayne Stone. Janie also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Michael (Kristine) Jenkins, Curtis (Deborah) Stone, Holly Daniel, and Leah (Bert) Clinard, eight great-nieces and nephews, and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Stone, Mike Jenkins, Joey Jenkins, Jake Jenkins, and Braden Bell.
