Janet Copeland Rushing

Janet Copeland Rushing, age 76, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Janet entered this life on April 9, 1948, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Bertie and Dovie Carmen Raines Copeland. She was married to Louis Rushing for 50 years. He preceded her in death. Janet loved working in her yard and planting her flowers, but most of all, reading her Bible. She wanted her family and friends to know that she will be waiting in Heaven for them, to read their Bibles, to believe in Heaven, and to believe that God is watching over each of us.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Allen, Gary, and John Copeland.

Survivors include her daughter, Terrie Rushing Nolen (Joe); son, Kevin Lee Rushing (Tammy); grandchildren, Chris (Tabi) Middleton, Evan Rushing, Ethan Rushing, and Bobbie Sykes; great-grandchildren, Samantha Middleton , Auora Middleton, Emily Sykes, and Abbi Sykes; sister, Joyce Bruso.

Pallbearers will be Chris Middleton, Evan Rushing, Ethan Rushing, Joe Nolen, Ronald Schmitto, and Dennis Crews.
