Janet `Joy` Foster, 67, Clarksville, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at Grace Church Of The Nazarene with the Revs. Steve Estep and Tom Denney officiating. Burial will be in Page Cemetery, Stewart Co., TN. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 15 at the funeral home and from 2 p.m. until the time of service Saturday, May 16 at the church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born January 14, 1942 in Cohasset, Minnesota, daughter of Kenneth Mertes and Connie Valtinson Mertes. Mrs. Foster was a Christian, member of the Warioto Nature Club, National Audubon Nature Conservancy Group, contributed to Boys Town, the Sunshine Indian Home, Disabled American Veterans, and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Survivors include a son, Michael (Tiffany) Mettler of Ramsey, MN; daughters Cherrie Huebner of Pipestone, MN, Rose Marie (Scott) Murphy of Clarksville, Missy (Craig) Pomplun of Ham Lake, MN; brothers Ken (Donna) Mertes, Richard (Betty) Metes, Bruce (Gerry) Mertes, Brian (Roxanne) Mertes, and Tom Mertes, all of Cohasset, MN; sister Judy (Mel) Weisenburger of Minnesota; grandchildren Ben Huebner, Maggie Murphy, Noah Murphy, Rachael Young, Amanda Young, Grace Young, Josh Young, Sharon Brown, Mikey Mettler, Nick Mettler, Alexandra Mettler, Cody Mettler, Shane Mettler, Liam Mettler, Kenny Brown, Howie Brown, and Alex Brown; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bruce Oechsel, Richard Broadhurst, Scott Evans, Phillip Hayes, and Kyle Nolte.
