Jane Baggett

August 23, 1924 — February 9, 2015

Jane Elizabeth Baker Baggett, age 90 of Cunningham, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Signature Health Care in Clarksville.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Raines and Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow in Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the church and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Thursday at the church.
Jane was born on August 23, 1924 in Old Hickory, TN to the late W.H. Baker and Mary Sue Robinson Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Baggett, Nephew Jerry Underwood, and all of her siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Baggett; nieces, Peggy (Larry) Riels, Teresa (Eddie) Sinks, and Mary Ann (David) Houpe; nephews, Stanley Underwood and Mike Hayes; host of great nieces and nephews. Also survived by her friend since childhood, Elsie Copeland Thomas.
Jane was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, a homemaker, and food service worker at Montgomery Central High School; She retired at in 2007 at the age of 82. She was a member of the Eastern Star Royal 213 for over 50 years.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Underwood, Eddie Sinks, Larry Riels, Matthew Riels, Larry Shelton, Gary Conatser, Nathan Forrest, and Nick Dennis.
Jane was at SHC for almost a year and her family wishes to thank all of them for the compassionate care she receieved during her stay. God bless you all.
