James Wood

James Walter Wood, age 84 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away on August 29, 2020 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Spurgeon officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The Wood family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday afternoon.
James entered this life on June 16, 1936 in Enterprise, Alabama, son to the late Homer and Janie Wood. James served as President of Bethesda Community Mission and was a faithful member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Wood; granddaughter, Maeghan Frey; siblings, Betty Galloway and Nell Barna.
Survivors include his loving children, Lisa (Roy) Morris, Randy Wood, Jeff Wood, Lee (Judy) Wood; siblings, Robert Wood, Mable Stokes, Margie Thomasson, Ray Wood, and Carolyn Hall. James also leave behind his precious grandchildren, Andrew Morris, Sarah Morris, Hannah Morris, Brandon Wood, Ashley Wood, Cameron Wood, Justin Wood, Dylan Wood, Brooke Wood; and great-grandchildren, Bensyn Wood, Brysyn Wood, and Lyla Morris.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Wood, Andrew Morris, Dylan Wood, Cameron Wood, Justin Wood, Blake Nolen, and Ricky Eads.
