James Watkins

James Zylon Watkins, 85, Clarksville, died Saturday, January 29,2011, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 Noon Monday at McReynolds-Nave-Larson Chapel with Rev Paul Bunger officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven . Visitation will be from 5 to 8 Pm Sunday January 30, 2011 at Funeral Home and from 10 a.m until service Monday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. James was born September 17,1925 in Montgomery County the son of the late Richard Watkins and Freddie Lehman Watkins. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Frances Riggins Watkins, brothers, William Watkins, twin brothers Lester and Vester Watkins, sisters, Frances Brewer, Mattie Watkins, Goldie Smith, Annis Mann. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and retired from ACME Boot Company. Survivors include his son Steve Watkins of Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Ross Greer,, Bryan Mixon, David Riggins, Henry Bearden, Doug Riggins, Mike Kennedy, and Aaron Harrison.
