James Sykes

James Ray Sykes, 73, Cunningham, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Trinity Hospital, Erin, TN. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 26, 1934 in Montgomery County, son of Wylie Sykes and Dixie Underwood Sykes. Mr. Sykes was a Baptist and a retired Truck Driver. Survivors include his wife, Betty E. Koons Sykes, Cunningham; sons, Donald Sykes, Houston, TX, Brent Sykes, Cunningham; daughter, Debra Sykes Wade, Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Bobbie Harris, Phoenix, AZ, Donna Pringle, St. Clair Shores, MI; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
