James Steiner

James Grady Steiner, 82, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was born October 1, 1928 in Granite City, IL to the late Grady and Lucy Sims Steiner.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine Norfleet Steiner, sons James C. Steiner (Pati) and Victor Steiner (Kendra), and sister Sarah Cook. Grandchildren are Rachael Steiner and Benjamin Steiner. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Michael Steiner.
James was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Deacon Emeritus and member of Excell Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Revs. Laurence Steiner and Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 12 noon until the time of service Friday. Pallbearers will be James Steiner, Vic Steiner, Paul Shelby, Wesley Norfleet, Don Gibson, and Kevin Kail.
