James Hugh Sexton, age 97 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. David Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
James entered this life on July 19, 1921 in Houston County, TN, son to the late Elzie and Hannah Kingsmill Sexton. James loved hunting, fishing, and Ginseng hunting.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Sexton.
James leaves behind his loving niece, Laura Ann Groves and her husband Butch, and special caregiver Dalton Wyatt.
Serving as pallbearers will be Butch Groves, Josh Davis, Kevin Manners, Dalton Wyatt, Chris Howell, Steve Sumner, and Billy Vann.
