James Ray Selph, age 84 of Clarksville passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Kim Allen officiating. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
James entered this life on July 29, 1937 in Stewart County, TN to the late Delbert and Shirley Baggett Selph. He was a Veteran of The United States Army, worked as the manager of a grocery store, and was the co-owner of Queen City Flea Market. James was a member of Little West Fork Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and sports. James was particularly fond of the Atlanta Braves, Tennessee Titans, and APSU basketball.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Buster Robertson, and brothers, Robert Selph and Terry Robertson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Imogene Henderson Selph “Jean”; children, Andy (Lisa) Selph, and Debbie (Bob) Thrush; grandchildren, Brittany (Mathew) Austin and Makayla Thrush; aunt, Robbye Suiter, and many nieces and nephews. James also has a great-granddaughter on the way.
