James Sawyers, age 61of Tennessee Ridge, TN passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Wilson Coffelt officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery in Erin, TN.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 8:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
James entered this life on December 1, 1952, son of the late Paul and Gloria Dean Sawyers. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
James is survived by his loving wife Mary Sawyers; step-sons, Marvin and Brandy Black; daughter, Jamie Sawyers; brothers, David and Russell Sawyers; sisters, Annie McDonald, Susan Gatlin, and Karen Smith.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenny Baggett, Russell Sawyers, David Sawyers, Chris Harrington, Phillip Brooks, and Diana Sawyers.
