James Rye

James Tilton Rye, age 82 of Waverly, TN, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery.
The Rye family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Monday afternoon.
Tilton entered this life on September 4, 1934 in Houston County, TN, son of the late Johnny and Louise McClain Rye.
In addition to his parents, Tilton was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon Rye, Johnny Rye JR; and sister, Betty Mathis.
Survivors include his loving wife, Josephine Rye; sons, Jimmy Dean Rye, Ray Rye (Angelia), Kristen Rye (Lisa); daughters, Cindy Peltz, Judy Musser, and Krystal Pulley (Tony). Tilton also leaves behind brother, J.M. Rye; sister, Mary Lou Dobbins; nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
