James Rucker

James (Jim) Rucker, age 70, of LaVergne, Tn, passed on from this life at his home in LaVergne on Saturday December the 2nd, 2017.
Mr. Rucker was preceded in death by his parents Estelle and Bessie Rucker and great-grandson, James Bruce. Mr. Rucker is survived by his three children Jamie (Terry) Bruce of Tennessee Ridge; Jennifer Horn, of Erin; and Pat (Leslie) Rucker, of Tennessee Ridge; as well as 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Rucker was a retired Social worker for the state of Tennessee. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and served as an advisor to the local DeMolay Chapter. He also served in multiple advisor roles with the Tennessee State De Molay Association. Mr. Jim was also very active in his church in LaVergne.
Mr. Jim will be cremated in accordance with his wishes and his family will be holding a memorial service at a later date. Memorials can be made to any Shriner’s Hospital. He is in the care of Nave Funeral Home, in Erin, Tn. navefuneralhomes.com
