James Rose

James Elbert Rose, 81, Clarksville, TN, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Spring Meadsows Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Keesee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 8 p.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funera Home and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rose was born in Montgomery County, June 5, 1927, son of the late Elbert James and Annie Byard Rose. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Rose and two step-sons, Billy Carney and Ricky Carney. Mr. Rose was a member of the Cumberland Furnace Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Mattie Bateman Rose; sons, David Rose, Leo Rose, James Ed Rose and Larry Rose; daughter, Carolyn Clendenning; step-daughters, Linda Rittenberry and Helen Korn; sisters, Violetta Walker and Estell Huffman; 27 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be, Randy Rittenberry, Mike Rittenberry, Joe Thomas Rittenberry II, Danny Hollis, Will Ennis, Ray Harris and David Rose.
