James Robert Williams, Jr., 84, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
James was born December 26, 1927 in Cheatham County, TN, son of James Robert Williams, Sr. and Willie Yarbrough Williams. He retired from Acme Boot Company where he was a truck driver following 40 years of service. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jewel and Bill Williams and his sister, Margaret Heaton.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Josephine Ellis Williams of Clarksville; his sons, Danny Williams and wife Debbie and Shane Williams and wife Mary, all of Clarksville; his daughter, Cheryl Hite and husband Jimmie of Cunningham; his brother, Herschel Williams of Clarksville; his grandchildren, David Williams, Steven Williams and wife Lauren, Jeremy Hite, Ryan Hite, Travis Hite, and Brianna Hite; and his great grandchildren, Taylor and Nate Williams.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 451 Fentress Ln., Clarksville, TN 37040.
