James Joseph Parker age 54 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
James was born on April 3, 1960 in Springfield, OH, the son of Michael Ewers and Deloris Runyan. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class, Field Artillery. He currently was employed with Air Assault Auto on Fort Campbell. He was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend who enjoyed to fish and loved Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Ewers and his sister, Marnie Hazlett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Barbara Sanders Parker; daughter, Amber (Matt) Brown; son, Micah (Ariel) Parker; parents, Michael (Carol) Ewers and Deloris (Gary) Runyan both of Springfield, OH; niece, Morgan Hazlett and several nieces and nephews by marriage. He is also survived by several close friends.
